West Jordan is 1-9 against Copper Hills since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 3:30 p.m. West Jordan is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
West Jordan's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Friday. They put the hurt on Hunter with a sharp 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Rita Tavita made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, West Jordan let Andrea Tagovailoa and Hailey Fox run wild. Tagovailoa went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Fox scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Fox a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Baylee Aldrich, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
West Jordan lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hunter didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Copper Hills suffered their biggest loss since March 7th last Thursday. They came up short against Riverton, falling 11-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their meetings with the Silverwolves: they've now lost five in a row.
West Jordan pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Copper Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Both West Jordan and Copper Hills just can't seem to miss. The Jaguars have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Copper Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits.
