For the second straight game, Enloe will face off against Leesville Road. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Pride at 4:30 p.m. Enloe has given up an average of 10.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Enloe fell victim to Leesville Road and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pride, falling 18-0.
For Leesville Road's part, Connor Inman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Inman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Heath Benson and Nolan Wyss did most of the damage at the plate: Benson went 2-for-3 with two triples, five RBI, and two runs, while Wyss went a perfect 2-for-2 with six RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits Wyss has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Blumberg, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Leesville Road was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .480. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Leesville Road has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Enloe, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Enloe has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Leesville Road struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
