The Mountain View Eagles will head out to face off against the Susquehanna Sabers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain View will be strutting in after a win while Susquehanna will be coming in after a defeat.
Mountain View gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Blue Ridge. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Jordan Jagger made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Mountain View let Hudson Bain and Jesse Keating run wild. Bain went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI, while Keating got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Mountain View is 2-1 when Bain posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Joel Tigue, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Susquehanna's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Lackawanna Trail, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Sabers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Mountain View's record now sits at 4-6. As for Susquehanna, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Mountain View has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Susquehanna struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
