After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lathrop, Stagg was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Ben Holt College Prep Academy Bobcats. That looming 12-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Delta Kings yet this season.

Aerie Garcia made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Garcia was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Rachael Symoungkhoune and Jorge Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Symoungkhoune scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5, while Hernandez scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Symoungkhoune is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Aliana Chavez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Stagg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ben Holt College Prep Academy only managed three hits.

Stagg is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. Ben Holt College Prep Academy dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Stagg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Edison on the 25th. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Ben Holt College Prep Academy Bobcats face off against Leroy Greene Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Leroy Greene Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.5 runs per game on average), something Ben Holt College Prep Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
