The Phoebus Phantoms will be playing at home against the Jamestown Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Phoebus has 25 straight victories, Jamestown has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Phoebus put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Denbigh at home to the tune of 77-0. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Phoebus' ten-point performance the contest before.
Meanwhile, Jamestown fell victim to Warhill's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 84-0 loss at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, Jamestown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 278th, while Warhill is ranked 20th).
Phoebus has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 10-0 record. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.92 points. As for Jamestown, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
