Those 85 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Kruse. Eli Ables was another key player, rushing for 104 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Olathe West wouldn't let Shawnee Mission South keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Olathe West can thank Evan Klausner and Chase Campbell for forcing both of them. Olathe West got some further help from James Dorsey: he picked up three sacks and made five total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Olathe West was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 316 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Olathe North dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Olathe West, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-3.
