After a string of six wins, Jersey Shore's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williamsport Millionaires. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matchups prior), but the Millionaires' pitchers proved too tough.

Jersey Shore's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Williamsport, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Jersey Shore has already played their next match, an 11-5 loss against South Williamsport on the 25th. As for Williamsport, they will host Selinsgrove at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Seals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.64 runs per game on average), something the Millionaires will no doubt try to take advantage of.
