Kapaun Mt. Carmel had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed by North on the road to the tune of 68-28.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lizzie Romer out in front who scored 17 points. Maddy Spiers was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Southeast came up short against Bishop Carroll on Friday and fell 57-49.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ma'khiyah Jones, who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alana Webb, who scored 22 points.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Southeast, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
