Oak Glen hasn't had much luck against East Liverpool recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Golden Bears will host the Potters at 7:00 p.m. Oak Glen's defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so East Liverpool's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Oak Glen might have lost, but man, Logan Murray was a machine: he rushed for 205 yards and one touchdown. Murray showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards.
Meanwhile, East Liverpool hadn't done well against Weir recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Potters came out on top against the Red Riders by a score of 26-19. The win was all the more spectacular given the Potters' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 497th in Ohio, while the Red Riders are ranked 74th in West Virginia).
East Liverpool's win came from a few key players Oak Glen will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Meshach Harris, who threw for 242 yards and one TD on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 58 yards and one score. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making nine total tackles and defending one pass. East Liverpool's leading receiver Dre'Keim Abercrombie was Harris' top target yet again, picking up 111 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Oak Glen's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for East Liverpool, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Oak Glen took a serious blow against East Liverpool when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 52-0. Thankfully for the Golden Bears, Gavin Wright (who threw for 263 yards and five TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 54 yards) won't be suiting up this time.
