Sioux Falls Lutheran lost against the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sioux Falls Lutheran was beaten by Great Plains Lutheran 58-27. Sioux Falls Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Great Plains Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Brody Scharlemann, who scored nine points. Austin Rubendall was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Sioux Falls Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Great Plains Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sioux Falls Lutheran will challenge Oldham-Ramona/R at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they will head out on the road to square off against Clark/Willow Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Clark/Willow Lake is ranked 53rd, while Great Plains Lutheran is ranked 77th).
