The Vintage Crushers lost against the Petaluma Trojans on January 5th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Vintage took a 44-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Petaluma. Vintage has not had much luck with Petaluma recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Crushers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Connor Gongora, who scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Macpherson, who scored ten points.
Vintage has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Petaluma, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vintage will face off against Sonoma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sonoma Valley has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 30. As for Petaluma, they will head out on the road to square off against Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Casa Grande will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 532nd, while Petaluma is ranked 117th).
