Farragut has gone 8-2 against William Blount recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Admirals will host the Governors at 5:30 p.m. Farragut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Farragut and Heritage, and Farragut kept the tradition alive. The Admirals' pitcher stepped up to hand the Mountaineers a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday.
Not much got past Hallie Grace Johnson, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Heritage off the board. Johnson has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Elsa Morrison was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played.
Meanwhile, William Blount lost a heartbreaker to Christian Academy of Knoxville when they met back in April of 2015, and they left with a heavy heart again on Wednesday. The Governors lost 11-2 to the Warriors. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Governors couldn't push the score so high this time.
William Blount saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blaine Bell, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.
William Blount's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Farragut, their victory bumped their record up to 22-7-1.
William Blount's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Farragut hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for William Blount, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain Farragut's hitters?
Farragut took their win against William Blount in their previous meeting on April 3rd by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Admirals repeat their success, or do the Governors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
