The Maranatha Baptist Crusaders will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Academy of Excellence Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Maranatha Baptist will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
Maranatha Baptist put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Academy of Excellence 69-40 on the road. Given Maranatha Baptist's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Academy of Excellence is ranked 368th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Maranatha Baptist pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Academy of Excellence, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
