Given Pinewood Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while Northwood Academy is ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Michael Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Alexander, who scored 16 points.
First Baptist School's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Pinewood Prep, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
First Baptist School barely slipped by Pinewood Prep in their previous matchup on January 5th, winning 56-55. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Jones, who scored 25 points along with four steals.
