Grasso Tech has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Goodwin Tech Gladiators at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Grasso Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
Last Friday, Grasso Tech was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to Windham RVT.
Despite the loss, Grasso Tech had strong showings from Nick Stavesky, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, and Charis Johnson, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Chacha- Mizhquiri, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Goodwin Tech waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They snuck past Vinal RVT with a 54-48 victory.
Grasso Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Goodwin Tech, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Grasso Tech came up short against Goodwin Tech in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 54-45. Can Grasso Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
