When it comes to explaining why Banning lost, one person who can't be blamed is Noah Aguilar. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Chase Sanchez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Ayden O'Gilvie was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds for Twentynine Palms. Another player making a difference was Brandon Evans, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Banning's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Twentynine Palms, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banning will challenge Indio at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Indio will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
