The Arizona College Prep Knights waltzed into Thursday's matchup with three straight wins but they left with four. They had just enough and edged Mesquite out 15-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arizona College Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas O'hara, who picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown. Ashton Sanchez also helped out with an impressive 105 receiving yards.
Arizona College Prep pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Desert Sunrise and 1-9 Apache Junction (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 35% over those games). As for Mesquite, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arizona College Prep will play host again and welcome Arcadia, where kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Arcadia will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. As for Mesquite, they will be playing at home against Desert Sunrise at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
