5A Special District 1 recap November 5, 2013
Summit and Sandy played the closest game in 5A Special District 1 this week, with Summit eventually emerging with a 32-30 victory. Bransen Reynolds threw for 187 yards and 1 touchdown during the win.

Summit's dynamic duo of Reynolds and Tyler Mullen proved tough for Sandy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Tim Meagher helped Summit's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 40 yards.
Mountain View's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Conor Nehl has thrown for 1,487 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Nick Hjelm has 48 catches for 797 yards.
Joe Padilla's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,165 from 9,520. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 32-30 victory over Joseph Polamalu's team last week.
