The Holy Cross Regional Gaels will square off against the Carlisle Chiefs on Thursday. Holy Cross Regional staggers in eager to bring about an end to their five-game losing streak.
The Gaels came up short against Roanoke Catholic on Monday, falling 51-41.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Carlisle's strategy against New Covenant on Tuesday. Carlisle really took it to New Covenant for a full four quarters, racking up an 88-55 victory at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Carlisle had established a 59-39 advantage.
Holy Cross Regional is now 9-16 while Carlisle sits at 11-11. The Chiefs are 5-5 after wins this season, and Holy Cross Regional is 4-11 after losses.
