The Columbine Rebels will be playing at home against the Grandview Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Columbine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Chatfield scored an imposing 58 points on Friday, Columbine still came out on top. Columbine snuck past Chatfield with a 64-58 win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Columbine has managed all season.
Columbine found their leader in underclassman Cash Boykin, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Boykin is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthew Kossik, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Grandview came up short against Arapahoe on Friday and fell 50-41. Grandview has struggled against Arapahoe recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Columbine's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-13. As for Grandview, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
Columbine didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Grandview in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-49 win. Will Columbine repeat their success, or does Grandview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
