The Scotus Shamrocks will head out on the road to face off against the Pierce Bluejays on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Scotus is ranked 127th, while Pierce is ranked 117th).
Scotus' 19-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 54-10 loss at the hands of Concordia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Scotus has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Pierce had to settle for a 45-42 defeat against O'Neill on Tuesday.
Scotus' loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Pierce, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Scotus took their win against Pierce when the teams last played back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 52-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scotus since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
