The South Ripley Raiders won the last time they faced the Milan Indians, and things went their way on Tuesday too. South Ripley walked away with a 37-28 victory over Milan. Given South Ripley's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Milan is ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Ripley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reese Obendorf, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Franklin, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
South Ripley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Milan, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
South Ripley is on the road again on Friday and play against Batesville at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. As for Milan, they will challenge Jac-Cen-Del at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Jac-Cen-Del focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
