The New London Wildcats had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They walked away with a 35-25 victory over Wellington. That result was just more of the same for these two, as New London also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Wellington lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brooke Lehmkuhl. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
New London is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Wellington, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.
