3A Mountain Rivers recap Sept. 26, 2012
Teton extended the longest winning streak in 3A Mountain Rivers this week by beating Bear Lake, 31-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Redskins.
Teton moved up to 35 from 67 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Redskins were able to make the jump by beating the Bears 31-0.
South Fremont's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Junior Gonzalez has thrown for 584 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Jason Maupin has 17 catches for 319 yards. Gonzalez also leads the league in rushing with 83 yards.
A big matchup in 3A Mountain Rivers this week will be when South Fremont takes on Sugar-Salem. The Cougars are in fourth place, while the Diggers are in third place.
Teton took down Bear Lake 31-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
