The Riverdale Ridge Ravens will look to defend their home court against the Northridge Grizzlies at 7:30 p.m. Riverdale Ridge will be looking to keep their 14-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Riverdale Ridge can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 77-40 victory over Fort Morgan. Given Riverdale Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Fort Morgan is ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverdale Ridge relied on the efforts of Kameren Davis, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds, and Amauri Lucero, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lucero has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Williams, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Northridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Mountain View by a score of 55-53. Northridge has not had much luck with Mountain View recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Riverdale Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Northridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Riverdale Ridge against Northridge when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 85-46 win. Will Riverdale Ridge repeat their success, or does Northridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
