The biggest upset of the week belonged to Talladega County Central, who took down 257th ranked Notasulga, 36-22.
St. Jude Educational Institute moved up to 280 from 306 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 1A Region 4. The Pirates were able to move up by defeating Wadley 48-29.
The Blue Devils' dynamic duo of Robert Surge and Anfernee Dukes proved to be unstoppable against the Fighting Tigers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Surge threw for 135 yards and Dukes had 43 yards receiving. Aurick Cloud helped Notasulga's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 48 yards.
Dustin Ingram was a passing and rushing force as Fayetteville topped Verbena.
Notasulga's Alexander Woodard and Cloud led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Woodard has thrown for 268 yards this season, while Cloud has 17 catches for 252 yards. The Wolves' Ingram leads the league in rushing yards with 1,000.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Loachapoka takes on second place Fayetteville.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Wolves take on Loachapoka. Fayetteville has allowed 84 points this season, while Jerome Tate's team has given up 49. The Wolves allowed 20 points last week as they beat the Red Devils.
Talladega County Central made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,315 from 13,122. The advance stemmed from a 36-22 victory over James Lucas' team last week.
