Tyson Vogel and Kozmo Krueger provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Clear Fork. The longest such play in Ohio Cardinal this season, the connection resulted in 71 yards.
Mansfield Senior moved up to 53 from 90 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tygers climbed the ranks as a result of besting Wooster 28-7.
Ashland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Vogel threw for 214 and one touchdown and Krueger had 85 yards receiving. On the ground Vogel chipped in 99 yards. Jacob Allton helped Ashland's passing attack out by catching five balls for 60 yards.
Ashland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Arrows feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Vogel has thrown for 2383 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Nick Barker has 60 catches for 1084 yards. Vogel also leads the league in rushing with 439 yards.
A big matchup in Ohio Cardinal this week will be when Mansfield Senior takes on Lexington. At the moment, the Tygers are in second, while the Minutemen are in fourth.
Mansfield Senior extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Generals, 28-7. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Tygers.
