The Ash Fork Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 44-18 loss at the hands of Hopi. Ash Fork has not had much luck with Hopi recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Ash Fork lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eva Flores, who scored five points. Flores scored a full 27.8% of Ash Fork's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ash Fork's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Hopi, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Ash Fork is on the road again on Thursday and play against Music Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Music Mountain has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 16. Hopi and Pinon will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
