The Sickles Gryphons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season. They breezed by Carrollwood Day on the road to the tune of 77-24. With Sickles ahead 55-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sickles to victory, but perhaps none more so than Beckham Hockley, who scored 29 points along with three steals. The contest was Hockley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Sharpe, who scored 14 points along with seven steals and six assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Sickles and bumps their season record up to 8-2. As for Carrollwood Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Sickles and Gulf will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. After both having extra time off, Carrollwood Day and George Jenkins will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 2:10 p.m. on December 27th.
