The Montesano Bulldogs came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Elma by a score of 69-59. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cason Seaberg, who scored 15 points along with two steals. AJ Holmes was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Montesano's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Elma, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.
Montesano will be playing in front of their home fans against North Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elma, they will head out on the road to take on Tenino at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
