Leading Riverside Christian to victory were Willie Clines and Kyle Spratlin. Clines dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Spratlin scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Clines has scored at least 25% of Riverside Christian's points. Taytyn Cooper was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three blocks.
Riverside Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-6-1. As for Cornerstone Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. John Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Cornerstone Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against First Coast Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. First Coast Christian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
