Justin Jean Louis Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Sadly, Justin Jean Louis posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Gateway over Lakewood Ranch on Friday. Jean Louis rushed for 278 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (105.7). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 97-yard run.
Gateway's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. Jean Louis and Gateway will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cape Coral at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.

Parrish Community Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Jermaine Edwards
Jermaine Edwards's big game helped extend Parrish Community's winning streak to three on Saturday. Edwards' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 144 rushing yards.
Parrish Community pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Edwards and Parrish Community will challenge Lakewood Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
