The Flanagan Falcons suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Thursday. Their rough 46-26 loss to Coral Springs might stick with them for a while. Despite the defeat, Flanagan saw an underclassman step up: D?Naela Myers dropped a double-double on 11 points and 17 rebounds. Myers is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Denise Liu was another key contributor, scoring five points along with two steals.
Flanagan's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Coral Springs, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.
Flanagan will take on Central at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Coral Springs, they will square off against Miami Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Miami Christian is ranked 109th, while Coral Springs is ranked 127th).
