The North Marion Huskies lost against the Philip Barbour Colts back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North Marion took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Philip Barbour.
When it comes to explaining why North Marion lost, one person who can't be blamed is Caden Morris. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Morris has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Dylan Higgins was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Philip Barbour, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Marion won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Weir at 5:15 p.m. on January 13th. Weir will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 501st, while North Marion is ranked 50th). As for Philip Barbour, they will head out on the road to take on Liberty at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
