After soaring to 67 points the game before, the Jefferson County Tigers were a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They were dealt a 69-19 defeat at the hands of Crossroad Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jefferson County in their matchups with Crossroad Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Crossroad Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jabari Boahen, who scored 15 points. The game was Boahen's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Camari Hale, who scored 13 points.
Jefferson County has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-1 record this season. As for Crossroad Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Jefferson County will be home for the holidays to greet Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lafayette focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday. Crossroad Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face King's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th. One thing working in King's Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
