Arroyo has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Mountain View Vikings at 6:31 p.m. on Friday.
Arroyo suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Friday. They were beaten by Gabrielino 57-28.
Meanwhile, even though Rosemead scored an imposing 62 points on Wednesday, Mountain View still came out on top. Mountain View took their game against Rosemead 71-62. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mountain View.
Arroyo's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-12. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 4-15.
Arroyo took their victory against Mountain View when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 63-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arroyo since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
