The Tupper Lake Lumberjacks put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lisbon Central 83-50 at home. Tupper Lake might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 28 points or more this season.
Tupper Lake's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Peterson, who scored 32 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Peterson has scored at least 25% of Tupper Lake's points. Garrett Pelkey was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds.
Tupper Lake's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.85 points. As for Lisbon Central, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.
Tupper Lake will head out on the road to face off against Saranac Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saranac Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 339th, while Tupper Lake is ranked 59th). Lisbon Central will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Colton-Pierrepont at 7:00 p.m. on January 16, 2024.
