It was a good run, but the Patrick Henry Patriots unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Christian 58-53. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Patrick Henry of the 56-45 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenneth Klu, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Klu is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Derek McBride was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Patrick Henry's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-8. As for Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry will take on Kearny at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kearny is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Morse at 6:15 p.m. Morse will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 897th, while Christian is ranked 371st).
