The Mangum Tigers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Carnegie 25-22. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mangum also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Austin Solis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 238 yards while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Nick Lavoie also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Mangum's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points per game. As for Carnegie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Mangum does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carnegie will be playing at home against Apache at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
