The First Baptist Christian Sabres are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Medina Christian Academy Knights at 5:30 p.m. on December 19th. Medina Christian Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on First Baptist Christian, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, First Baptist Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 win over Our Lady of the Elms.
Meanwhile, Medina Christian Academy came up short against St. Martin de Porres on Saturday and fell 46-39.
Despite the loss, Medina Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ashley Conwill scored 17 points. Conwill scored a full 43.6% of Medina Christian Academy's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Gibson, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds and six steals.
First Baptist Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Medina Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
