After only two runs in their last matchup, Kent Island made sure to put some runs up on the board against Wicomico on Thursday. Kent Island blew past Wicomico 31-0. The Buccaneers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Abby Mahaffey was incredible, scoring six runs and stealing a base while going 5-for-6. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Kent Island hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wicomico struck out nine times.

The win got Kent Island back to even at 2-2. As for Wicomico, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Kent Island didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-2 victory against Arcadia on the 28th. As for Wicomico, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Decatur at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
