It was a good run, but The Jurupa Valley Jaguars unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 27-26 to Desert Hot Springs. Jurupa Valley lost against Desert Hot Springs in their previous head to head back in August, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 34-8 score last time.
Messiah Smith looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 230 yards and three touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Jurupa Valley now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Desert Hot Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Jurupa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Desert Hot Springs will head out on the road to face off against Baldwin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin Park is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
