The Lago Vista Vikings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Troy. Lago Vista was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Troy apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Lago Vista's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saylor Stamos, who scored nine points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Lockhart, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Lago Vista has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Troy, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lago Vista will take on Faith Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Faith Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Saturday. Troy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Rogers will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
