On Friday, the Green Street Academy Chargers had to suffer through a 44-6 loss at the hands of the Carver A&T Wildcats.
Carver A&T was led to victory by Elisah Guity and Laila Brandon. Guity went 8 of 16 en route to 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Brandon went 6 of 9 on her way to 10 points along with eight boards and three steals. That's the most boards Guity has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Holman, who posted six points and six steals.
Green Street Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Carver A&T, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Green Street Academy will take on Benjamin Franklin in a holiday battle at on Tuesday. As for Carver A&T, they will venture away from home to challenge Dundalk at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Carver A&T's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Dundalk's offense will have their work cut out for them.
