Despite the defeat, Maryvale had strong showings from Devin Murphy, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 18 rebounds, and Adrian Stubbs, who scored 26 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Stubbs is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Abram Moreno salazar, who scored 18 points.
Carl Hayden Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dru Carter, who scored 20 points along with six steals. Carter hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Prince Cash was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds.
Maryvale's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11. As for Carl Hayden Community, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Maryvale and Camelback will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
