The Green Level Gators will be taking part in a tournament against the Orange Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Green Level and Green Hope, and Green Level kept the tradition alive. The Gators walked away with a 42-30 victory over the Falcons on Friday.

Green Level's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Claire Barber led the charge by putting up seven points along with seven assists and five boards. Barber also grabbed five steals, which is notable because the Gators are 2-1 when she posts at least three steals, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Gwen Boles, who posted eight points and five rebounds.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Green Level was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Green Hope only racked up six.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Orange beat Cummings 45-39 on Monday.
Orange had a senior duo take command as Alexis Stephens shot 50% from the field on her way to 16 points and five boards and Maura McMurtry went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and seven rebounds.
Green Level pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points over those games. As for Orange, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Green Level has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Orange struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Green Level beat Orange 50-40 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
