Basketball Recap: Buckeye Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

On Saturday, the Buckeye Bucks earned a 56-44 win over the Coventry Comets.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Buckeye to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ruby Hudak, who went 5 for 11 on her way to 14 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Hudak is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Wolf, who posted 17 points and three steals.

Buckeye's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6. As for Coventry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Buckeye will venture away from home to challenge Normandy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Buckeye has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Coventry, they will welcome Ravenna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
