After flying high against Gorton on Wednesday, Yonkers came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Roosevelt Sharks on Thursday, falling 22-10. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Yaeli Santana and Mya Campbell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Santana went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Campbell went 1-for-4 with one home run. That double marked the first that Santana has hit this season. Lesley Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Yonkers' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Roosevelt, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

While Yonkers had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
