Softball Recap: Arapahoe Starts Season with Victory at Home

Arapahoe took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Highlands Ranch Falcons 16-3. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Quincy Keefe, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Delaney Cooper was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles.

Arapahoe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highlands Ranch only posted an OBP of .353.

Looking ahead, Arapahoe will square off against Thomas Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Highlands Ranch, they will challenge Grandview at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
