The Central Hawks won against the Schley County Wildcats on Friday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Central walked away with a 74-65 victory over Schley County. The victory was all the more spectacular given Central's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while Schley County is ranked 167th).
Central got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Demarcus White out in front who scored 27 points. The contest was White's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Joshua Seldon was another key contributor, scoring 22 points.
Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Schley County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will square off against Spalding at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spalding has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Schley County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Worth County at 7:30 p.m. on December 29th.
